Anthony Crivello is an actor celebrated for his extensive range and talent on both stage and screen. He has earned Broadway's Tony Award, Chicago's Jefferson Award, a Carbonelle Award, a Footlights Award, and has received nominations for three Jefferson Awards, two Canadian Dora Mavor Moore Awards, as well as LA's Ovation, Drama Critics, Robbie, Garland, and Friends of New York Theater Awards. He is a member of The Actor's Studio in New York City and Los Angeles.
Film: In 2025, Crivello played Police Chief D. W. Johnson in "The Omro Heist." His other film credits include Roland Emmerich's "Trade" opposite Kevin Kline; "Independence Day" alongside Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, and Will Smith; "Material Girls" opposite Hilary and Hailey Duff, with Angelica Houston; Steve Miner's "Texas Rangers" with Alfred Molina, Usher, and Ashton Kutcher; Jim Abrahams' comedy "Jane Austen's Mafia!"; "Spellbinder" opposite Kelly Preston, Tim Daly, and Rick Rossovich; "Crocodile Dundee II" with Paul Hogan; "Slaves of New York" featuring Bernadette Peters; and "Shakedown" starring Sam Elliott. Crivello received acclaim for his role as the hardened con-man "Boonie" in the short film "The Mark," which screened at New York City ShortFest and other festivals, directed by Cannes Film Festival Young Director Award winner Taryn Kosniver. He also portrayed "Henry Toy" in a film by director Anthony Engelken, which was shown in Beverly Hills, Madrid, and won the Award of Excellence for Best Short at the La Jolla Film Festival.
Television: In 2023, Crivello had a recurring role as the officious butler "Sebastian" in Disney's anthology comedy "Pretty Freekin Scary." He portrayed British Academy Award-winning director David Lean in the FOX21 miniseries "Feud: Betty and Joan," directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Murphy and starring Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lange, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Stanley Tucci, Kathy Bates, Judy Davis, and Alfred Molina. He starred in "Emma's Chance" opposite Joseph Lawrence, Greer Grammer, Ryan McCartan, and Missi Pyle for The Hallmark Channel. Crivello appeared in HBO/Stephen Soderbergh's Emmy Award-winning "Behind the Candelabra," starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, with screenplay by Richard LaGravenese. He co-starred in director Ron Krauss' "Alien Hunter," opposite James Spader, John Lynch, Roy Dotrice, Carl Lewis, and Leslie Stefanson, produced for Sony Films/Sci-Fi Channel. Other telefilms include "Dillinger and Capone," opposite Martin Sheen and F. Crivello has guest-starred on CBS's "CSI: NY," NBC's "Frasier" opposite Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce, "In-Laws" opposite Dennis Farina, Jean Smart, and Elon Gold, the acclaimed comedy "Seinfeld," "Normal, Ohio" opposite John Goodman, Orson Bean, and Anita Gillette, as well as appearances on "Star Trek: Voyager," "Babylon 5," "Miami Vice," "Dark Justice," and "Law & Order." He began his television career on the daytime series "One Life to Live" as Johnny Dee Hesser.
