Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, and raised across the United States—from New York to Hawaii—Brody began his professional acting career in 1995. After attending Michigan State University, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and had the opportunity to study under the renowned coach Vincent Chase. Following months of dedication, Brody secured his first role on "Saved By the Bell: The New Class." His episode received a humanitarian award nomination, bringing him significant recognition.
Brody has appeared in numerous prime-time television shows, including "7th Heaven," "She Spies," "Titans," "Birds of Prey," "Charmed," "Las Vegas," "Family Guy," and "Ally McBeal." He also had a memorable recurring role on the series "Angel," portraying Landok Mar of the Death Wok Clan.
In 1996, Brody relocated to New York, where he was cast as Zachary Smith on CBS's "Guiding Light." He later returned to Los Angeles to play Cody Dixon on the top-rated CBS daytime drama "The Young and the Restless" from 1999 to 2004.
After leaving "The Young and the Restless," Brody joined NBC's internationally broadcast hit soap "Days of Our Lives," starring as Patrick Lockhart from 2004 to 2008.
Alongside his television work, Brody has appeared in several feature films including "Be My Baby," "Legally Blonde," "The Intruders," "Beach Kings," "Raven," "Totally Blonde," and the suspense thriller "Sebastian." He also has stage experience, notably starring in the Los Angeles live comedy "Amy Gets Her Man," written by Rene Ashton.
Brody has made multiple appearances on shows such as "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "The Ricki Lake Show," "The Greg Behrendt Show," "Soap Talk," and "On Air with Ryan Seacrest." He served as a celebrity judge on the internationally televised Miss USA Pageant and hosted programs including "Coming Attractions" and "101 Celebrity Oops" for E! Entertainment Television. Featured on numerous magazine covers and in various national and international publications, Brody was named one of "Daytime's Hottest Hunks" by US Weekly and listed among People Magazine's "50 Hottest Bachelors in the U.S."
When not acting, Brody writes and produces new projects such as "Devils Inside," a television drama in development with a major Hollywood studio. Recently, he guest-starred on the top-rated CBS crime drama "Navy NCIS" and had roles on "I Hate My Teenage Daughter," "Ringer," "Baby Daddy," "Hot in Cleveland," as well as an upcoming Christmas film titled "Wonderland."
Brody married Judith Curameng in 2012, and they welcomed their daughter in 2014.
