Biografia
Roger Fan has captivated audiences with his versatility since his standout performances at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. He gained attention co-starring as the charming and manipulative Daric Loo in Justin Lin's breakout indie film "Better Luck Tomorrow," while also starring in, co-producing, and co-writing the provocative 17-minute short "The Quest For Length," which became one of the festival's surprise hits.
Fan is set to appear alongside James Franco in Lin's first studio project, Touchstone Pictures' "Annapolis," which recently completed filming on the East Coast.
Born in Baltimore and raised in Southern California, Fan graduated from Brown University with a degree in Economics. After working as a financial consultant on Wall Street and in San Francisco, he pursued his passion for theater, blending his natural performance talent and leading-man appeal with entrepreneurial skills to establish a successful career in film and television, leaving finance behind.
With a strong foundation in theater, Fan has performed in numerous classic and contemporary plays across Europe and the U.S. His recent stage work includes "Solve for X," "Terminus Americana," and "Texas" with the award-winning Lodestone Theatre Ensemble, as well as "Performance Anxiety" with San Diego's AART. He has also appeared at Theatre 40, Playhouse West, East West Players, and Ireland's Exile's Theatre Ltd.
Fan made his feature film debut in "Rush Hour" and played Chris Kattan's FBI partner in the Disney/Touchstone comedy "Corky Romano." He recently finished a role in "D.E.B.S." alongside Jordana Brewster and appeared in the Farrelly Brothers' "Stuck on You." His television credits include appearances on "ER," "Frasier," "Party of Five," "News Radio," "Arli$$," and "Diagnosis Murder."
Today, Roger Fan stands out as one of the industry's most compelling young actors, reshaping the leading man image through diverse roles on screen and stage. Praised by critics like Roger Ebert, Richard Roper, Peter Travers, and Elvis Mitchell, Fan is recognized as a "charismatic and fearless actor" with an unlimited future.
