Biografia
Bianca Biasi (born 13 May 1979) is an award-winning Australian producer, director, writer, actress, author, and LGBTIQ and equality rights activist. Her career in television and film spans over 30 years, beginning as an actress in iconic and award-winning Australian TV series such as Home and Away (Channel Seven Productions), All Saints (Channel Seven Productions), White Collar Blue (Knapman Wyld Television), Above The Law (Columbia Tristar/Channel Ten), and Breakers (Network Ten).
Her latest project, The Space Between documentary series, has garnered numerous awards.
Bianca has also participated in American productions, including the TV series Beastmaster (Alliance-Atlantis/Coote Hayes Productions in association with Tribune Entertainment and Endemol Entertainment) and the telemovie The Junction Boys (Vanguard Films/Orly Adelson Productions/ESPN Network/ESPN Original Entertainment).
In 2006, she debuted in feature films with Burke & Wills (Cake Productions), playing the role of 'Asha'. Veteran Australian film critic Margaret Pomeranz noted that the low-budget film was "fortunately saved from oblivion" and gained international recognition after being selected for the Tribeca Film Festival, co-founded by American actor Robert DeNiro in 2002.
Biasi has appeared in over a dozen television commercials for well-known brands including KFC, Pizza Hut, Arnott's, Railcorp, Medicare, Hyundai, Volkswagen, GIO Moccona Coffee, Rabo, Centrum, Kirin Beer, and an Australian Government campaign against illicit drug use.
More recently, her on-camera experience has been complemented by work behind the scenes in essential film and television roles such as casting, directing, and producing.
She expanded her industry knowledge by working as an associate talent agent for Rebekah Biasi Management before transitioning into a hands-on creative role to pursue her passion for filmmaking.
As co-founder of Morning Starr Productions, established in 2009, she has produced all its projects and taken on writing and directing roles for several.
As of January 1, 2014, Biasi's studio had four films in post-production inspired by two of Sydney's most famously haunted locations: The Quarantine Hauntings, The Parkway Hauntings, Delirium, and The Q Station Experiment.
Biasi told The Manly Daily that actors and crew filming on location at Sydney's northern beaches—The Q Station, North Head, and Wakehurst Parkway—experienced genuine fright due to unexpected incidents, leaving her "seriously freaked out."
She also founded The Actors Hub in 2009 to offer guidance and advice to aspiring actors of all levels committed to building careers in television and film.
Biasi aims to provide students with insights drawn from her own experiences and those of the accomplished actors she has worked with, including Don Hany, Alin Sumarwata, Brooke Satchwell, Georgie Parker, Tammin Sursok, Chris Egan, Isabel Lucas, Chris Hemsworth, Freya Stafford, Peter O'Brien, Kate Ritchie, Tom Berenger, Ryan Kwanten, Bec Hewitt, and Sir Bobby Charlton.
