Biografia
Kinyumba Mutakabbir is a bi-coastal actor, writer, director, and producer working between Los Angeles and Atlanta. A former Division I athlete at Florida Atlantic University and NFL player with the Miami Dolphins, he brings rare physical authenticity and intensity to every role.
He is known for his recurring role opposite Queen Latifah on FOX Star (Lee Daniels), his recurring role on ABC The Catch (Shondaland), and as the lead in the Cinemax action feature Black Salt. He recurred on BET Plus Diarra From Detroit, the network highest rated show, Emmy considered, produced by Kenya Barris, alongside Phylicia Rashad and Morris Chestnut. He has appeared on Queens (ABC), 68 Whiskey (Paramount), Line Sisters (Lifetime), Angie Tribeca (TBS), Dark Blue (TNT), The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS), and Tyler Perry House of Payne.
A black belt in martial arts and trained in Shaolin Kung Fu, firearms, and stunt performance, Mutakabbir specializes in authority figures, anti heroes, and complex antagonists. He wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the dramatic short Balance, on the festival circuit as of 2026, and starred as lead in Funny Feelings alongside Mack Wilds, Pretty Vee, and Terri J. Vaughn, slated for Summer 2026 release.
