Biografia
Lisa Arrindell was born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Brooklyn. She graduated from The High School of Performing Arts, now known as The Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from The Juilliard School.
Her acting career covers film, television, and theater. Notable screen appearances include A Lesson Before Dying, Disappearing Acts, Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First Hundred Years, The Sin Seer, Livin' Large, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Random Acts of Flyness, Elementary, Madam Secretary, Saints & Sinners, The Quad, Notorious, Bull, and others. On stage, she has performed in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Broadway), Jubilee (Seattle Opera), Reparations (The Billie Holiday Theatre), Richard III (NY Shakespeare Festival), Heliotrope Bouquet (Playwrights Horizons), and Earth and Sky (Second Stage), among other productions.
Her recent work includes Albany Road, featuring Lynn Whitfield, now streaming on Amazon Prime, as well as appearances in Watson on CBS and Favorite Son Christmas on BET. She is widely recognized for her role as Vanessa in Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion and for her powerful performance in the Law & Order episode "Disabled." Lisa also works as the resident acting coach for the Starz series P-Valley.
In addition to acting, Lisa is dedicated to health and wellness, inspiring and mentoring aspiring performers. She teaches theater students eager to pursue careers in the performing arts and is part of the staff at The Freeman Studio and The Billie Holiday Theatre's Youth Arts Academy in New York City. Above all, she is a proud and joyful mother of two wonderfully creative, intelligent, and loving children.
