Patrick Perez Vidauri is an American writer, director, and producer whose work encompasses feature films, documentaries, and television. His projects merge cinematic storytelling with an exploration of culture, identity, and the forces shaping modern American life. Whether in fiction or documentary, he gravitates toward character-driven narratives where humor, conflict, and moral complexity provide insight into the human experience.
His feature films have been released on platforms including HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Netflix. His romantic comedy "In Other Words," featuring Chris Kattan, debuted on HBO Max, while "Say a Little Prayer," executive produced by Edward James Olmos and starring multi-platinum artist Luis Fonsi, garnered a 98% Rotten Tomatoes rating prior to its Netflix release in Fall 2026.
Patrick co-directed the feature documentary "Into the Fire" alongside Cristina Nava and previously worked as Supervising Producer on the Netflix documentary "The Day I Met El Chapo: The Kate del Castillo Story." His television career includes directing, producing, editing, and post-production leadership for major studios, networks, and streaming services, building on over a decade of professional experience as a television editor.
A Columbia University alumnus with a degree in Anthropology and a graduate of UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television—where he won a Student Emmy Award—Patrick founded Myth Machine, a creative studio focused on developing ambitious film and television projects that combine commercial appeal with meaningful themes.
Through Myth Machine, he is developing a slate of character-driven television and feature projects, including the drama series "An American Sound" and the feature films "No Cop Calling" and "Black Ink." He is also set to direct "The Gunfighter," a grounded action film written by Tom Jenkins and produced by Malek Hanna, with legendary producer Mario Kassar attached as executive producer.
