Biografia
Phil Parker is a screenwriter and prominent freelance development consultant, with feature writing credits in China, Czechia, and the UK. His work includes titles such as 'El Greco,' 'Manou the Swift,' 'Gentle Jacko,' and 'Hockey King.'
Recognized as one of Europe's leading independent development consultants, Phil has successfully operated pH Screenplay, a training and development consultancy, for over thirty years. His clients have included Aardmann Animation, BBC, Channel 4, CEE Animation, and numerous independent producers and screenwriters. His projects feature the Oscar and BAFTA-winning "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit," the multi-award-winning "The Pearce Sisters," and "Terry Pratchett's Hogfather."
In 1994, he founded the MA Screenwriting course at LCP, now part of the University of the Arts London. Alumni of the program have earned a Palme d'Or, multiple BAFTAs, various festival awards, and Oscar nominations.
In 1997, he published "The Art and Science of Screenwriting," which was later translated into German and Spanish.
In 2000, he established the UK Film Council's Training and Development operation.
In 2006, he launched NyAC, a UK independent film production company dedicated to creating original feature films.
In 2008, he introduced BCre8ive, an online development lab supported by creative leaders such as Nick Park and Jocelyn Stevenson, along with companies including Warp Films, PlugIn Media, and Collingwood & Co.
