Biografia
Born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, Empress is a Nigerian actress, entrepreneur, and fashion creative whose work is driven by a lifelong fascination with storytelling, transformation, and human emotion.
Her introduction to acting came at an early age through films featuring actresses such as Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock. Watching them sparked her imagination and introduced her to the idea that one person could become countless others through performance. Long before she understood acting as a profession, she was already creating characters, inventing stories, and disappearing into imaginary worlds of her own.
At the age of ten, Empress began acting in church dramas, school productions, and television projects, discovering that performing felt as natural as dreaming. At sixteen, shortly after graduating from high school, she left Port Harcourt for Enugu to pursue acting professionally, a decision that marked the beginning of her independent journey in the Nigerian film industry.
Committed to mastering her craft, she has trained at leading film institutions including the EbonyLife Creative Academy, the Multichoice Talent Factory, and New Year Film Academy. Over the years, she has worked both in front of and behind the camera as an actress, director, and creative, earning the Best Actress award '23 at the Multichoice Talent Factory for her performance.
Beyond film, Empress is the founder of a Jewelry brand ; Bibie & Co. and a gifting and events atelier; Maj&Gia where she channels her love for artistry, design, and craftsmanship into building distinctive lifestyle brands. Recognized for her bold personal style, she has also received multiple fashion awards and views fashion as an extension of storytelling, another way to express character, identity, and emotion.
Although naturally shy throughout her childhood, acting became the place where she found her confidence. Today, after more than a decade in the industry, Empress continues to seek complex, emotionally honest roles that challenge audiences and bridge cultures. Whether on screen, behind the camera, or building her own creative ventures, she remains committed to telling stories that leave a lasting impression.
