Thomas Matthew Delonge was born on December 13, 1975, in Poway, California, to Connie and Thomas Delonge. He has an older brother, Shon, and a younger sister, Kari. He attended Poway High School, where he was crowned Homecoming King. For his 15th birthday, a friend gave him a guitar. His interest in punk rock began during a childhood camp experience when a fellow camper introduced him to the genre. Blink-182 was formed in 1992, with Tom as the guitarist and vocalist. In 2002, he started a side project called Box Car Racer, which released one album. Following Blink-182’s breakup, Tom created Angels & Airwaves, which planned to release their third album in 2009. Tom met his wife, Jen Jenkins, at a party about five or six years before their marriage on May 26, 2001. Their first child, Ava Elizabeth, was born on July 15, 2002, at 5:30 A.M. at California Scripps Hospital in Los Angeles, weighing 7 pounds. Their second child, Jonas Rocket, was born on August 16, 2006.
