Biografia
Ilknur Boyraz was born in Sivas, Turkey, and raised in Lower Saxony. She studied theater at Freie Universität Berlin and completed private acting training in Berlin. Since the mid-1990s, she has frequently appeared on television and in films. Early in her career, she was a regular cast member in several TV series. She became well-known for her role as nurse Yasmin in 66 episodes of the Sat.1 series "Alphateam," directed by George Moorse, John Delbridge, Gero Erhardt, and others. In 2001, she appeared in the feature film HERZ, directed by Horst Szcerba. She later starred in multiple seasons of the series "Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel" (ARD) and over 100 episodes of the telenovela "Lotta in Love" (ProSieben).
In 2017, Boyraz played the Saracen in the historical film "Die Ketzerbraut" (Sat.1, dir. Hansjörg Thurn) and portrayed a professor and ex-wife in the series "Kommissar Pascha" (ARD, dir. Sascha Bigler and Matthias Steurer). She also appeared in three episodes of the Sat.1 series "Julia Durant Investigated" as a forensic pathologist and friend of the lead actress, directed by Maria von Heland and Nicolai Rohde. Boyraz has acted in several "Tatort" films, including a 2017 appearance as a magistrate in the Munich episode "KI" (ARD, dir. Sebastian Marka). Other recent projects include "Nora Weiß" (ZDF, dir. Maria von Heland), the feature film "DER FALL COLLINI" by Marco Kreuzpaintner, and the award-winning web series "Singles Diaries" (Joyn, dir. Sascha El Waraki).
In 2021, Boyraz starred in the acclaimed ZDF mini-series "Westwall" (dir. Isa Prahl), Miguel Alexandre’s thriller "Schwarze Insel" (Netflix), and the ARD crime thriller series "Der Zürich" as well as the thriller "The Bolzano." She also appears in "Freibad" (Constantin Film, dir. Doris Dörrie) and the series "Barbarians" (dirs. Stefan Ruzowitzky, Lennart Ruff) in autumn 2022. Beyond acting, Boyraz is a certified breath teacher and therapist. She enjoys music, piano playing, singing, and dancing. Ilknur Boyraz lives with her family in Berlin.
