Natalie Rodriguez is an award-winning director, screenwriter, producer, and author based in Los Angeles, California. She is the founder of Extraordinary Pictures, where she develops character-driven stories across film, television, publishing, and digital media, spanning drama, comedy, horror, thriller, and family entertainment.
She wrote, directed, and produced the feature films "The Extraordinary Ordinary" and "Howard Original," both of which screened at film festivals and are distributed through Indie Rights, with availability on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Roku, Tubi, and YouTube. "The Extraordinary Ordinary" was also adapted into a companion novel available in paperback and ebook formats. Rodriguez's work has been recognized by HollyShorts Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, NALIP Latino Lens, Stage 32, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Table Read My Screenplay (Austin Film Festival).
Rodriguez is currently developing several projects for film and television, including "Inner Child," a psychological horror feature, and is the author of its forthcoming novel adaptation, releasing in fall 2026. Her latest short film, "Beyond the Moonlight," continues to earn official selections and accolades on the festival circuit. Her award-winning short "Dumpster Fire" has completed its festival run and is available on the Extraordinary Pictures YouTube channel.
In addition to her filmmaking, Rodriguez is the creator of the "Matty Cat" children's franchise and the author of the award-winning young adult crossover thriller series, "Elephant." Her work frequently explores themes of identity, mental health, trauma, resilience, and personal growth.
Rodriguez has spoken on panels and at industry events hosted by Google, YouTube, Hispanicize, Los Angeles Comic Con, and Ontario Revolution Comic Con. Her writing has appeared in HuffPost, Thrive Global, NowThis News, and HelloGiggles.
