Zeus Mendoza, a Santa Clara University graduate with a BA in Theatre Arts, has been an active actor in Hollywood for over two decades. His feature film roles include Hector the Robot Waiter in "Passengers," as well as appearances in "The Fallen Faithful" and DreamWorks' "Puss in Boots." On television, he has held series regular and recurring roles such as Special Agent Victor Vega on TNT's "Major Crimes," Detective Tony Santiago on NBC's "Hunter" remake, Trace Miller on TNT's "Crusade," and parts in Aaron Spelling's "Forbidden Island" (filmed in New Zealand), "Port Charles," and "Days of Our Lives." Additional credits include the CBS movie of the week "Murder in the Mirror," acting opposite Jane Seymour and James Farentino, along with guest roles on popular shows like "The Rookie," "9-1-1," "CSI," "Perception," "Crash," and "CSI: Miami."
In addition to on-screen work, Mendoza is a skilled voice-over artist, contributing to numerous television, film, radio, and high-profile video game projects. He provided voices for several characters in the hit film "Beverly Hills Chihuahua." His professional theatre experience is notable, earning a Garland Critics Choice Award nomination for his role as Slim in the Pasadena Playhouse production of "Of Mice and Men." He has starred alongside Sanaa Lathan in "Our Town" and Amy Brennaman in "Walking Off the Roof" in Los Angeles productions, and portrayed Elvis in Steve Martin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" at San Francisco’s Theatre On the Square. Other stage credits include leading roles in "Paint Your Wagon" as Julio Valveras and "By the Waters of Babylon" as Arturo, both at The Geffen Playhouse.
His filmography also features festival favorites such as "The Novice" (Sundance Film Festival), "Ransom," "Asylum Days," "Poco Loco" (also known as "A Little Crazy"), "Land of Milk and Honey," and "Ballad of a Soldier" (Los Angeles Latino Film Festival).
Beyond acting, Mendoza is the lead vocalist for the Los Angeles-based rock band Simpleworld. Their debut single "What You Get," from the album "Amplify Your Soul" (POP Records), quickly climbed the top 40 charts and was included on the Campus Circle CD alongside Paolo Alto and The Ataris. The band has recently finished their second studio album, "A Rip in the Frame.
