Biografia
Nino Aldi is an acclaimed writer and director known for his work primarily in the thriller genre, focusing on emotionally charged storytelling with a polished cinematic style. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
Nino's debut feature, "Who Killed Cooper Dunn?", an intense whodunit thriller starring Tyler Ritter, which he directed, co-wrote, and produced, premiered on Showtime and Paramount+ in late 2022. His second feature, "Lonesome Soldier", a raw military biopic starring John Ashton, directed by Nino, is scheduled for theatrical release in Fall 2023.
Before his feature films, Nino directed more than six festival short films, notably "Tribes", which qualified for the Academy Awards (Oscar Buzz Perez Hilton Article) and won multiple international awards, including "Best Comedy" at LA Shorts International Film Festival, "Best Short Film" at Just for Laughs - Eat My Shorts, and at Canada's YES- Let's Make A Movie Film Festival, where he also earned "Best Director."
Currently, Nino is casting his third feature, "Black Bouquet", which he co-wrote and will direct in late spring 2024. His screenplay "Mercury Retrograde" is a semi-finalist in the 2023 Page International Screenwriting Awards.
Alongside his distinctive directing approach, Nino brings over 20 years of behind-the-scenes film set experience. A member of the DGA as an assistant director, he has credits as a field producer on NBC's The Voice for 18 seasons. His deep expertise in film production, post-production, and budget management distinguishes him among independent filmmakers.
