Sajan Agarwal is a seasoned film writer, lyricist, producer, and director in the Bollywood film industry. Born in Nehtour, a small village in Bijnor district, Western Uttar Pradesh, his passion and determination for cinema led him to relocate with his family to Mumbai, Maharashtra, the heart of Bollywood. He has expanded his expertise across various facets of the industry, including screenplay and dialogue writing, and film production, aiming to make a significant impact. Active since 1992, Sajan began his career as an assistant director, supporting many esteemed filmmakers, and since 2002, he has worked independently as a writer, lyricist, and director.
One of his notable accomplishments was directing music videos at Tips Music Company for two years, where he had the chance to collaborate with the legendary ghazal singer Jagjit Singh. His songs have been voiced by a wide array of singers ranging from veterans like Asha Bhonsle, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Kailash Kher, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam, and Vinod Rathod to contemporary stars such as Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Neha Kakkar, Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala, Tony Kakkar, Sonu Kakkar, and Jubin Nautiyal. He has also held the position of executive producer at Viacom 18 and directed numerous TV commercials featuring actors like Ameesha Patel, Neha Dhupia, and Shweta Tiwari. Additionally, he produced two TV shows for Big Magic Ganga.
Sajan Agarwal has been involved in many projects and is well-known for films like Amma Ki Boli, Fruit and Nut, Overtime, Saali Khushi, Boloram, and Hai Golmaal in White House. One of his major works as a writer, lyricist, and producer was the film "Game, Paisa, Ladki," released nationwide in India. Currently, he is a prominent figure in the OTT space, acclaimed for directing the hit web series "Mona Home Delivery" on the Ullu App. He has also contributed as a director to various OTT platforms with exceptional web series and short films such as 3G-Gaali Galoch Girls, Dhund, Blackmail, Traffic Signal, and Live-in-Relationship. His recent release, "Contract Killer," featuring Ajaz Khan on the MX Player platform, has been a major success. Looking ahead, he has several exciting projects lined up for leading OTT platforms and cinema.
