Masuimi Max was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to a German American father and a Korean mother. She spent her early childhood in Korea and the Philippines. Her mother passed away when Masuimi was five years old. During her teenage years, her father retired from the Air Force and relocated the family to Las Vegas.
Masuimi was an international performer, a leading alternative and fetish model, an actress, and the owner of I Am Sin cosmetics. She modeled for hundreds of companies worldwide, including well-known brands like Harley-Davidson, Coffin Case, Pinup Girl Clothing, Murray & Vern latex, and Bibian Blue, serving as the spokesmodel for Pinup Girl Clothing. Sinical Magazine described her as an inspiration to many alternative models, noting, "She has inspired a legion of alternative models to lace up a corset, pull on some stockings and slide into a pair of stilettos." Known as a true "master of disguise," she often created her own costumes and backgrounds and was also an accomplished fire performer and burlesque dancer. She stood out as an original in a sea of imitators and was among the few models to build a career doing what she loved.
Beyond modeling and performing, Masuimi ran an exclusive pay site for her fans, featuring a free guest section and a members-only area. The site contained over 60,000 images and videos, along with live video demonstrations where she engaged with fans through various tutorials, ranging from cooking to makeup application. She was also a webmaster and designer for multiple websites. Model Mayem magazine praised her career, stating, "Her success in the industry paved the way for so many models that followed, but the story of her success is a classic tale of how hard work, talent and determination can overcome all challenges." With nearly 100 magazine covers and numerous features, music videos, TV shows, and movies, her credits are extensive and impressive. Sinical Magazine compared her to iconic model Dita Von Teese: "Dita Von Teese and Masuimi Max… They modeled and performed full time since the 1990s. Their influence on current models was unquestioned and they basically joined the ranks of Miss Page." Masuimi appeared on the cover of Bizarre Magazine nine times, as well as on Maxim, Import Tuner, Performance Sound and Auto, DDI Mag, and many others. She was featured on Playboy.com and played the leading lady in Tiger Army's "Rose of a Devils Garden" music video.
Her film credits include Unlucky Charms (2013), Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong (2013), Here Lies Lonely (1999), and The Devil's Muse (2007), as well as a role in the blockbuster xXx: State of the Union (2005). She also made appearances at car shows. In 2001, she competed on the reality TV game show Fear Factor, where she ate a potato bug. She had a brief cameo at the end of David Lynch’s Inland Empire (2006) as a girl with a blonde wig who has a monkey. In 2011, she appeared in the SuperHeavy music video for "Miracle Worker.
