Kaj-Erik Eriksen (pronounced "kai-erik") started his acting career in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the age of six. After a few roles as an extra and some small speaking parts, he got his first significant role in the independent film "Quarantine." Soon after, Kaj made his first of two guest appearances on the TV show "MacGyver," which was his favorite show as a child.
In 1991, following work on several movies and guest spots on various TV series, Kaj-Erik secured the role of David Scali, son of Michael Chiklis' character, on the long-running ABC drama "The Commish." The acclaimed show brought Eriksen into mainstream American television, earning him nominations for a Hollywood Reporter Youth Star Award, a Youth in Film Award, and two YTV Achievement awards.
During the five-year run of The Commish, Eriksen appeared in numerous other projects, including the remake of the classic film "Captains Courageous," as well as the TV shows "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" (1990) and "Goosebumps" (1995).
At seventeen, after The Commish ended, Eriksen moved to Los Angeles to continue both his education and acting career, appearing in shows like "Home Improvement" and "Walker, Texas Ranger." In 1999, he returned to Vancouver to film two seasons of "Beggars and Choosers," a short-lived series that received critical acclaim and developed a devoted cult following.
In 2001, back in Los Angeles, Kaj-Erik landed the role of Jeremy Peters on David E. Kelley's "Boston Public." What was initially intended as a four-episode arc evolved into a recurring role lasting two seasons, becoming one of Eriksen's most recognizable roles.
Eriksen returned once more to Vancouver in 2004 to film the popular USA Network series "The 4400," one of his favorite projects due to the close-knit "family atmosphere" among the cast and crew.
Over his 25-year career, Eriksen has guest-starred on many popular TV shows, including "Tru Calling," "Stephen King's Dead Zone," "Star Trek: Enterprise," "NCIS," "Criminal Minds," and "The Closer."
In 2010, Kaj-Erik starred alongside Richard Thomas in the Hallmark movie "Time After Time."
He currently resides in Los Angeles.
