Andrez Castilho is an experienced Film and Television Producer and Executive Producer with over thirty years in the film and television industry. He currently leads CDI Virtual Films Inc., operating primarily in the United States and Brazil. His extensive career encompasses a variety of productions, including documentaries, feature films, non-fiction TV series, music videos, and commercial films shot in several countries. In 1990 Andrez worked as a Unit Production Manager assisting the Aerial Unit for "At Play in the Fields of the Lord," a Saul Zaents Production and Hector Babenco Film with a cast including Tom Berenger, Aidan Queen, Kathy Bathes, Daryl Hanna, John Lithgow. In 1991 He moved on to work at Globo TV network in Rio DE Janeiro, Brazil as a supervisor for international productions. He worked on such weekly shows as: "Programa Legal," "Caceta e Planeta," "Doris para Maiores," shot in the U.S. These shows were directed by Belisario Franca and the renowned, director, Guel Arraes. Along with Belisario Franca, in 1997 Andrez Castilho went on to produce the international documentary series, "Alem Mar" (AKA "Beyond the Sea") that was awarded: "The best documentary in a series" by the International Documentary Association (I.D.A.) in Los Angeles in 1999 . In the year 2000 once again teaming up with Belisario Franca, Andrez produced the Discovery Channel, Discovery Kids TV event, "Blast Off!" that was broadcast in 106 countries in the World, all at the same time. In more recent years, Castilho has been involved in several high-profile productions. In 2014-2015, Disney Parks hired Andrez to produce part of an Immersive Experience, "Soaring the World," a ride currently at all Disney Parks around the world.In 2016, In 2016 Andrez was in charge of the production in the Amazon rain forest, "The Years of Living Dangerously" for NatGeo TV. Continuing in 2016, Andrez produced the Amazon rain forest location portions for the PBS series, "American Experience" episode, "River of Doubt". Also in 2016, Andrez was an Associated Producer on "Boy 23 the Forgotten Boys of Brazil". In 2017, Andrez worked as an Executive Producer on "Amazon Obhijaan" an adventure Feature Film produced by S.V.F. an India production company, and directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee. In 2019, teaming up with S.V.F. again, Andrez was an Executive producer for another adventure Feature Film, "Professor Shanku O Eldorado. Also in 2019, Andrez Castilho was an Associated Producer on the Feature film, "The Heartthrob" ("O Galã ") a comedy Feature Film directed by Francisco Ramalho Jr. In 2021, Andrez produced the "DJ Alok at Global Citizens Worldwide Live Presentation in the Amazon," a Special Event for Television. It was broadcast worldwide. In 2023, Andrez was the Executive Producer for "Poisoning the Amazon" for Bloomberg TV Originals series, directed and produce by Angus Bennett. Andrez Castilho has been passionate about working on film and television productions that impact the natural environment, saving and preserving the planet and especially the Amazon rain forest. Andrez Castilho is an alumnus of the University of São Paulo (USP), one of Brazil's premier institutions. Andrez Castilho is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French languages.
