They didn’t follow the mold when it came to Rob Archer—he broke it. Standing 6'6" and weighing 250 lbs. of solid, sculpted muscle, Archer moves like a comic book superhero brought to life. As an actor, he seamlessly transitions between playing the recurring role of Bio-Man on "Defiance" (Seasons 1, 2, 3), the recurring role of Bruce on "Lost Girl" (Seasons 3, 4, 5) and its webisodes, four distinct characters on "Warehouse 13," guest-starring as The Brain on "XIII: The Series," Vernon Hicks in The Samaritan, and Buzz in Bulletproof Monk. His credits also include "Beauty and the Beast," Kick-Ass 2, "Flashpoint," "Alphas," and Repo Men.
In the winter of 2015, Archer took on the role of Krampus in A Christmas Horror Story, co-starring with William Shatner, which premiered at Fantasia 2015. According to Hitfix, this role positioned him as one of this generation’s premier bogeymen. His portrayal earned him two awards at the 2015 After Dark Film Festival: Best Monster/Creature (Krampus) and Best Villain (Krampus played by Rob Archer).
Archer recently completed work on 22 Chaser, acting alongside Brian J. Smith (Sense8) and Raoul Trujillo (Sicario), and Operation Insanity, where he faces off against James Caan. Prior to these, he appeared as the lead Navy SEAL in Adam Sandler’s Pixels, sharing scenes with Josh Gad. His career began as a stuntman and actor on "Mutant X," playing the villain in the Season 2 finale. He returned for Season 3 and also appeared in Robocop. Producers quickly noticed his acting talent and consistently expanded his roles to keep him on screen longer.
Rob is also set to appear in the new Netflix feature The Man from Toronto, starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson, where he plays the intimidating character "Oscar." The film is scheduled for release in summer 2022.
Beyond film and television, the video game industry has recognized his potential. Archer’s involvement in a major video game project will be announced soon. This progression stems naturally from his character 'The Conduit' in the GlassMonkey Studios comic book of the same name. The character, who harnesses energy to fight evil, was illustrated by legendary artist Tony Gray and modeled after Archer.
As a spokesperson, Archer serves as the international ambassador and face of Mr. Hyde by Pro Supps, a top-tier global sports nutrition company based in the USA.
