Joy Michelle Ferro was born in Manhattan, NYC, and raised in Queens, where she trained as a professional ice skater. Early on, she explored filmmaking by producing a student film titled "An Episode Of Charlie's Angels," in which she also played the Jaclyn Smith role. After three years of acting classes with Samantha Harper-Macy, Bill Macy, and others, she began applying her acting skills in over a dozen films and TV shows starting in 1984. She earned a B.A. in Sociology and Nursing from the University of California-Santa Barbara in 1988. In 1989, she married her college sweetheart, Michael, and welcomed a son in 1990. In 1994, she and her son moved from Los Angeles to Arizona, where she collaborated with the Sedona Cultural Park Board to establish the Sedona International Film Festival. By 1996, Joy had independently built a management business representing Hollywood filmmakers, growing from one client to twelve within three years. She expanded her work from business management into packaging scripts and producing films. Over the years, Joy has negotiated contracts and film deals with prominent producers and directors such as Tom Hanks, Jeff Bridges, Jonathan Demme, and Robert Downey Jr., some of whom she has known since childhood. At the age of eight, she attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premieres of "A Clockwork Orange" and "Oh Lucky Man," alongside directors Stanley Kubrick and Paul Anderson, as well as her father, the esteemed film director, producer, and title designer Pablo Ferro. Despite her young age, Joy was a special guest at the premiere and the glamorous after-party, where Kubrick, Anderson, and the cast treated her like a modern-day Shirley Temple. She also served two terms as a Fire Commissioner in Sedona, holding office for eight years and honing her skills as an elected official. Joy's diverse background and sharp acumen provide her with a distinctive behind-the-scenes insight into the film industry. She combines the dedication developed in her youth with her insider perspective to create a successful approach. Now semi-retired and working on the East Coast, she remains a powerful advocate for her clients.
