Biografia
Born in Cuba, Ylian spent her childhood in New Jersey, Florida, and Delaware before settling in Vermont. After practicing architecture for fifteen years, she secured a small role as a reporter in A-Bo the Humonkey. Living in Vermont allowed her to pursue minor roles in films shot in Boston and nearby areas. While based there, Ylian appeared in movies such as Shuttle, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, The Proposal, and Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys.
After moving back to Florida, where she now lives permanently, Ylian took on various roles in film, commercials, and television, including Followed (James Kicklighter), Renee, Contagion, Good Deeds (Tyler Perry), The Investigator (Richard A. Romano), Osiris, Dr. G: Medical Examiner, Discovery Channel's Shark Week (2011), and Intrusive Behavior (Brian Troxell). In 2016, she portrayed Sophia, a battered wife, in the short film Twelve Past One, which was screened at several film festivals and won Best Short Film and Honorable Mention for Best Actress.
While continuing her acting career, Ylian has also expanded her work behind the camera, adding script supervision, assistant directing, and other production roles to her impressive résumé. Whether in front of or behind the camera, Ylian has quickly established herself as a valuable asset and is highly sought after for the upcoming film season.
