Stefania Barr is an acclaimed actor, director, and musician from Park City, Utah, set to appear in the upcoming installments of Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga.
She made her debut on the Disney Channel in "Right on Track," portraying a young Courtney Enders, a role later played by Brie Larson. From a young age, Stefania demonstrated exceptional professionalism, preparation, and passion in every role. This dedication earned her a strong reputation and numerous direct bookings in projects with complex themes requiring a wide emotional range, including the critically praised short film "Unwind." Today, she continues to show a profound commitment to character development and preparation, delivering authentic and grounded performances.
Throughout her varied career, she has collaborated with and learned from industry leaders such as Robert Pattinson, Stephen Soderbergh, Chloé Zhao, Octavia Spencer, John Hawkes, Tony Hale, Kathy Bates, and many others.
Inspired by her work with Zhao at the Sundance Institute, Barr expanded her skills to include directing. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Cinema Production from Utah Valley University, where she launched her directorial debut "Stone Cold," a chilling adaptation of an Edgar Allan Poe short story. She has gained experience in nearly every on-set department and regularly works as a commercial and music video director and 1st Assistant Director, collaborating with national brands like Volvo, Amazon, SharkNinja, and more.
A classically trained musician, she composed her first original soundtrack at age 16, winning multiple "Best Score" awards at U.S. film festivals. Barr is also the lead vocalist of the indie-alt-rock band Shrink the Giant, which plans to release its third original LP in 2025.
