Brandon Johnson is an acclaimed American actor and television host. His upcoming romantic comedy, "Switch Up" (starring Cristian de la Fuente, Jeff Fahey, and Julieth Restrepo), premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. He will also appear in the corporate thriller "Protocol 7" (featuring Eric Roberts and Matthew Marsden), set for release in Spring 2024. Brandon serves as the lead spokesman for "AAA: Roadside Assistance" through 2026. He hosts the podcast "Fully Alive," where he interviews guests who share stories of adversity, empowerment, and inspiration.
One of his memorable projects was TNT’s reality competition show, 72 Hours, where nine strangers were dropped in remote locations such as Fiji, Tasmania, and New Zealand, competing for a $100,000 prize. Shortly after returning to the U.S., he assisted in workshopping NBC's successful singing competition "The Winner Is," collaborating with producers Craig Plestis (The Voice, The Masked Singer) and Toby Gorman (President of Universal Alternative TV), before passing hosting duties to Nick Lachey. Simultaneously, Brandon hosted OLN’s "Rally America" and FOX Soccer Channel’s "Fox Soccer USA." A fan of speed and adrenaline, he became the lead host for "Formula D" on G4 TV Network alongside Olivia Munn. When not on the track, he embraced another adventure as host of HGTV’s "RV Travel Show" for two consecutive years.
His work with HGTV extended as the face of "Get Out, Way Out!," a show that transformed backyards into fantasy and entertainment destinations. This led to co-hosting HGTV’s Consumer Electronics Show and the Homes and Housewares special. Alongside hosting, Brandon Johnson has been an active actor for over 20 years. He is widely recognized for his role as "Gary Wilde" on Disney’s top-rated series "Shake It Up!" opposite Zendaya and Bella Thorne. This opportunity followed his recurring role as "Brian Winters" on "Hannah Montana." He has guest-starred on Nickelodeon's "Henry Danger" as the dynamic "Rick Richards." His film credits include the thriller "The Devil's Dolls" (shot in Mississippi, IFC Midnight), and "Fishes N' Loaves" (Lionsgate) alongside Patrick Muldoon, Dina Meyer, and Dominique Swain. Other notable films include "The Notorious Bettie Page" (with Gretchen Mol and Lili Taylor), the dark comedy "Rick" (featuring Bill Pullman and Aaron Stanford), and "Fabled" (starring Desmond Askew and Katheryn Winnick).
