Biografia
Nadia DiMofte is a Narrative Architect and Brand Micro-Surgeon, working across writing, directing, creative producing, talent representation, and personal brands in film, theatre, and culture. She has over 14 years of experience in the North American film and television industry, as well as more than 30 years of experience in marketing, sales, and business development.
After immigrating to Canada in 2010, she became an active part of Vancouver’s independent film community, contributing to short films and indie projects while building strong professional relationships across creative and technical departments. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and works primarily on character-driven narratives.
Her short film FRaiLNeSS screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2014, where it secured a distribution deal with Gonella Productions. Her second short film, iS THiS THe eND oF THe WoRLD?, screened at Cannes in 2015.
She later transitioned into professional production work, joining production offices on major network movies and series, including DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Season 4), Snowpiercer, and the Detective Knight trilogy.
In her work, she integrates story development, identity coherence, and strategic narrative alignment across film, talent, and personal brands. As a Brand Micro-Surgeon, she specializes in precise narrative and identity interventions for creatives, founders, and institutions.
Her background also includes sales, marketing, business development, and event management across corporate, nonprofit, and small-business sectors. She has promoted brands, produced large-scale industry events, and built creative communities - work that led to the founding of Actum Talent Management, a boutique talent agency representing actors globally with branches in Canada and Europe.
Since 2014, Nadia has served as Executive Director of Raindance Vancouver, part of Raindance International (London, UK), where she develops training programs, curates industry initiatives, and supports emerging filmmakers in accessing international opportunities. In 2024, she began building Raindance Bucharest, the Romanian chapter of Raindance International - a practice-based film education hub designed to merge Western methodology with the creative spirit of Eastern Europe.
In 2018, she received the Wayne Black Service Award from Women in Film & Television Vancouver, recognizing her leadership, community impact, and dedication to the film industry.
