Biografia
Mogens Holm, born in 1955, is a Danish actor recognized for his roles in 'The Lawyer', 'The Mare', 'Frederik IX', and 'Broen'. After graduating from The Danish State Performing Arts School in 1979, he joined Odense Theatre's cast before returning to Copenhagen, where he performed at venues such as Betty Nansen, Husets Teater, and Posthusteatret. He also toured Denmark with Rimfaxe Theatre. Currently, he works in film and television.
Earlier in his career, Mogens served as an artistic director, producing plays that explored themes of gender, politics, and cultural diversity. He wrote original plays and introduced foreign playwrights to Danish audiences. In addition to film and television, he has appeared in infomercials and commercials, collaborating with directors like Stevan Treshov, Kenneth Kainz, Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, Adam Neutzsky-Wulff, Tomas Villum Jensen, Morten Tyldom, and Michael Toft.
Mogens holds a master's degree in public administration from Copenhagen Business School and occasionally serves as an external examiner there. He has chaired the Danish Confederation of Theatres (TIO), acted as a magistrate at the Eastern High Court in Copenhagen, and worked for the European Union's Culture Agency (EACEA) in Brussels, advising on transnational cultural cooperation. Additionally, he was a mentor at The Danish National Arts Council, focusing on promoting artistic diversity and intercultural projects.
He resides in Copenhagen with his wife, Kirsten, a parish minister. They have two children together.
