Biografia
Michael Nicklin is an actor and consulting producer based in Los Angeles.
Originally from Southern California, Nicklin was raised in Santa Barbara and studied at San Jose State University's College of Business. At 25, he became a managing partner by acquiring an ownership stake in the SAG-AFTRA franchised agency that represented him. Over the course of a decade, he represented 150 actors and models across film, television, industrials, and print, leading his agency to significant growth before founding a second successful boutique talent agency in Beverly Hills.
After nearly 15 years as a talent agent, Nicklin transitioned to on-air work when he secured a recurring contributor role on a newly launched syndicated morning lifestyle television show. He gained recognition as an on-air personality and expert on consumer trends, appearing on over 300 news, network, and syndicated programs across Los Angeles and New York for more than ten years. His acting credits include over 30 short and feature films, commercials, industrials, music videos, and web series. Additionally, he has produced numerous short films, industrial and promotional content, over 200 live events, an on-location lifestyle TV talk show, and segment-produced for several national TV talk shows where he also appeared.
In 2013, he founded Vortexian Talent Management, offering strategic management to actors and creatives, maintaining a personal roster of about 30 clients. Alongside this, he established Vortexian Media to support the projects of actors, writers, and directors within the VTM roster. After VTM closed in 2018, Nicklin continued as a consulting producer, focusing mainly on development and post-production stages, with a particular emphasis on expanding productions into philanthropy and fostering genuine strategic partnerships with public charities early in the production process.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Nicklin enjoys abstract art and photography, travels extensively having visited over 80 countries, and contributes his strategic advice and hands-on support to various non-profit organizations. He has also served on the boards of two prominent theaters in Los Angeles.
