Biografia
John Lennon, Pontius Pilate, Harry S. Truman, Tennessee Williams, and numerous other iconic personalities have been brought to life on stage, film, and television by the versatile Circus-Szalewski.
Circus-Szalewski arrived in Chicago just before the fall of the Berlin Wall, working and understudying with many of the city's more avant-garde companies—including TrapDoor, Lookingglass, Chicago Dramatists, Torso, The Next, and Bailiwick. This period also included an internship with Indiana Repertory Theater and a 2007 Romanian tour of Matei Visniec’s Old Clown Wanted.
Known for a strong talent in character acting, Circus-Szalewski’s film roles span a wide range: from aging punk cave-diver, militant hacker, and foppish jeweler, to disgraced police officer, FBI director, corporate villain, quirky janitor, backwoods redneck, surfer-turned-inventor, small-town sheriff or deputy, and various other thugs and unsavory characters.
Television credits include over two dozen sketches on CONAN and JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, several appearances on SIX DEGREES OF EVERYTHING, numerous roles on TIM AND ERIC AWESOME SHOW, GREAT JOB!, and voice work for characters in the Hallmark animated special HOOPS AND YOYO RUIN CHRISTMAS.
Based in Los Angeles since 2008, Circus-Szalewski can be found online at www.Circus.actor.
