Cassie Bradley is a British-Irish actress known for her work with Sam Mendes and Marianne Elliott at the National Theatre, her screen performances across BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky and her extensive career as a voiceover artist for BBC Radio, Audible, Doctor Who and video games including Assassin's Creed, Chorus and Khazan.
Born and raised in Nottingham and Mansfield, Bradley gained a full scholarship to train at The Oxford School of Drama through the Government's Dance and Drama (DaDA) Award Scheme. In her final year of training she performed an original short written for her by Patrick Marber at London's Soho Theatre. Upon graduating, she was cast by Mendes in the National Theatre's production of King Lear, starring alongside Simon Russell Beale.
She has global majority (Roma) heritage and is a passionate advocate for working class actors.
Cassie made her stage debut in Sam Mendes' acclaimed production of King Lear at the UK's National Theatre, performing alongside Simon Russell Beale. She returned to the National Theatre Company in 2016, playing Maggie Pearson in Marianne Elliott and Ben Power's production of Husbands and Sons with Anne-Marie Duff. She received critical acclaim for her role as Dimitri Mitropoulos in the groundbreaking all-female production of Posh by Laura Wade. Subsequent stage credits include Wade's Home I'm Darling (National Theatre), Pericles for The Royal Shakespeare Company and Voices of a People's History at New York's Lincoln Center. In 2025, she starred as Violet in Nick Payne's One Day When We Were Young at London's Park Theatre with The Guardian praising her "beautiful performance... vulnerable, brittle and finally tender"
Cassie is widely recognised for her series regular roles as Leo in Rosie Jones' comedy Pushers, Natalie Watkins in Coronation Street, Nicole Chester in Waterloo Road and Leigh-Anne Carr in Casualty. Her extensive television work includes Jesus: His Life (as series lead Mary Magdalene), McDonald & Dodds, Holby City, Doctors, The Coroner, Suspects, Wolfe and What It Feels Like For A Girl. Her portrayal of impulsive trainee barber Natalie in ITV's Coronation Street made waves in the British press and earned her national award nominations, including Best Bad Girl at the Inside Soap Awards.
On film Bradley plays the the spirited young skater Leanne in ITV's feature Torvill & Dean. Bradley performed all her own ice skating for the role which aired on Christmas Day 2018. Bradley led the acclaimed short film I Live With The Devil, starring alongside Julian Glover with an "irrefutably spellbinding" performance which secured her Best Actress at The Indie Film Awards and an impact film panel at The Sundance Film Festival 2025. Additional film credits include Ben Ashenden's comedy 12 Days of Christmas and The Retreat by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
An accomplished voiceover artist, Cassie has narrated audio books for HarperAudio, Amazon, and Audible. She has created major characters in AAA-level video games, including the multi-award winning Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Khazan: The First Berserker, Chorus and Synced. Her voice work extends to national advertising campaigns, television trailers and extensive work for BBC Radio. She plays Sharla Smith in the Doctor Who audio series and leads BBC Radio 4's DH Lawrence season.
A passionate advocate for working-class representation in the arts, Cassie actively campaigns for greater inclusivity and diversity across the entertainment industry. She serves as a trustee for The Oxford School of Drama, works with outreach programmes at the National Theatre, Luminary Bakery and Arts Emergency and is involved with many storytelling initiatives for social change.
