Catherine Campion is thrilled to be back in Minneapolis after adventures in mackerel fishing in Ireland, cycling in Los Angeles, and buying orchards in Ecuador. It's quite a story; more details to come.
Some of Catherine’s standout roles include a foul-mouthed cancer patient on Weeds; a Minnesota Iron Range mother confronting Charlize Theron in North Country, directed by Niki Caro; and a geeky gamer girl in the short film Silver, written by Diablo Cody. She has been an improviser since age 11, which has greatly supported her successful voice-over career. Highlights include TV campaigns for Subaru, United Health, and H&R Block; voicing Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in the Iron Man video game; portraying Siri on Ellen’s iPhone on The Ellen DeGeneres Show; and recording 48 spots for Biden’s Build Back Better Plan. An AAA video game featuring her voice is set to release in 2024.
Catherine began her career on the Equity stages of Minneapolis, performing at The Guthrie, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Penumbra, and The Children’s Theater Company. She also played cello, keyboard, and sang throughout the Twin Cities and continued her music career in Los Angeles with bands like Saint Motel, Motion City Soundtrack, Chan Poling (of The Suburbs & New Standards), and Fort King.
With Irish parents, Catherine holds dual US and EU citizenship, which she has utilized by living across Europe, West Africa, and South America. Drawing from her global experiences, she is an award-winning Moth GrandSLAM storyteller. About that orchard—if you’re interested in buying one, just ask, and we’ll arrange a showing.
Beyond acting and travel, Catherine is dedicated to supporting compassionate, celebratory, and dignified end-of-life experiences. She is a certified Death Midwife through Sacred Crossings, an end-of-life planning consultant, an LA County Home Health Aide, and a certified hospice caregiver through The Twilight Brigade/Veterans Affairs. She is currently developing an animated PBS series titled LifeUps.
