Manny Jimenez Jr. started performing in talent shows at seven years old. In 2005, Manny Jr. and his father created a one-man show called "Movie Montage" for his elementary school talent show, where Manny Jr. portrayed several famous movie characters within three minutes. This performance led to Manny Jr. landing lead roles in school plays, first as the Grinch in "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and later as Bagheera in "The Jungle Book."
At age 12 in 2010, Manny Jr. had the privilege of playing trumpet at Carnegie Hall with the North Park Middle School Band. While he enjoyed performing with the band, he continued honing his acting skills by participating in numerous short films for NYFA, AFI, UCLA, and USC. That same year, during an audition, a casting director referred Manny Jr. to an agent, and he was signed by Nicole Jolley and Milton Perea at Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa Talent Agency (AEFH).
In 2011, Manny Jr. was accepted into the theater department at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). He began auditioning for commercials, network TV shows, and feature films. His first significant role was on NBC's "Prime Suspect," followed by appearances on CBS shows like "C.S.I: Miami" and the feature film "End of Watch."
In his free time, Manny Jr. continues to study acting and enjoys writing poetry and music. He also volunteers with Lennox Middle School students through nonprofits such as SoCal Crossroads and Tribeca Teaches L.A., helping to nurture young actors like himself.
In 2013, Manny Jr. worked on a Comedy Central pilot called "Schlub Life," the short film "Trespass," the web series "Blue," and the USC short film "Off Track."
Having appeared in over twenty short films, ten of which feature him in leading roles, Manny Jr. continues to expand his television and film credits. He looks forward to working on an independent film with a meaningful story, aiming to inspire other talented young people to pursue their dreams.
