Biografia
Brenston Batey was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Katrenia Bland, a Photographer, and Billie Batey Sr., a Truck Driver. The youngest of six children, he was initially raised by both of his parents alongside his older siblings. After his parents divorced at a young age, he was raised by his mother along with his two older brothers.
At the age of 10, Brenston caught the acting bug and immediately wanted to become an Actor, he also soon discovered he had a musical gift, which sparked his journey toward a career in Music. He attended Guion Creek and Eastbrook Elementary Schools, later continuing his education at Shortridge Middle School before enrolling at Arsenal Tech High School. During High School, he began Formal Training and joined the Drama Club in his Junior and Senior years. In his Senior year, he gained his first initial acting experience by participating in two school plays: a Halloween Production Titled "Case of the Giggling Goblin" and a Civil Rights-Themed Play in which he portrayed Andrew Young. These experiences gave him the confidence to pursue Entertainment Professionally.
After Graduating in 2012, Brenston worked various day jobs while actively pursuing a career in the Entertainment Industry. In 2016, he was featured in the Music Video "Rain" by Shonna Bedford, which opened doors to Opportunities in Independent Feature Films, Shorts and Web Series. He continued to sharpen his craft through Career Coaching Development with Kent Kasper, One-on-One Private Acting Training with Broadway Director Jordan Scott Gilbert, Seven Months of training with John Casablancas Model and Talent Management and On-Camera Acting Training and Techniques with TIG Media under the mentor of Dario Lee.
In addition to his Acting Career, Brenston is also One-Fourth of the Music Group KollisionMusiq, further Showcasing his Passion and Versatility within the Entertainment Industry.
His Musical influences include Aaliyah, Mýa, Faith Evans, Shamari DeVoe, Trey Songz and Lucky Daye and Acting Influences includes Laz Alonso, Kel Mitchell, Jay Ellis, Jordana Brewster, and Jaime Pressly.
