Bennett, a native New Yorker, has built a diverse and accomplished career in the entertainment industry. She is an actress, director, producer, writer, public speaker, and, most importantly, a mother of three. Bennett made her directorial debut with the independent feature film "Flip The Script," starring Robin Givens and Miguel Nunez. Her other behind-the-camera work includes the award-winning indie film "Blueprint," which she wrote, directed, and starred in; the feature film "Contradictions Of The Heart," featuring Vanessa Williams, Clifton Powell, and Malcolm Jamal Warner; and "Extractions," which she co-directed and co-starred in. More recently, Bennett directed and produced "Heart And Soul Of A Champion," a docuseries about former athletes; "After Midnight," a talk show with well-known comedians; and "Sleeping With Strangers," a television pilot.
She completed "The Wright Turn," an eight-episode television series in which she stars and serves as co-creator, co-executive producer, and co-writer. Bennett has over fifteen stage directing and producing credits, including the critically acclaimed musical and L.A. Times critic’s pick, "Dick And Don's Fabulous 60's Rock & Soul Spectacular," which she also created, as well as the compelling semi-autobiographical musical "This Is My Story, This Is My Song," based on the life of recording artist Brenda Lee Eager, among others.
After a break from on-camera work, Bennett returned to acting and singing with recurring roles on CBS's "68 Whiskey," Amazon's "Bosch," and BET's "Games People Play." Her previous TV credits include guest appearances on Fox's "9-1-1," the Lifetime movie "Evil Doctor," co-hosting the Fox talk show "All About You," a recurring role on "General Hospital," and many more. Her stage credits include the L.A. premiere of "B.R.O.K.E.N. Code B.I.R.D. Switching," Broadway performances in musicals such as "Runaways," and the Los Angeles premiere of "Signature" by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley.
Bennett is also a talented singer-songwriter, having toured as one of three vocalists in RCA’s Billboard Top 40 pop group "Altitude." As an ASCAP songwriter, several of her compositions have been recorded by various artists and featured on film and television soundtracks. Above all, Bennett cherishes being the mother of three wonderful young adults. She is also the founder of Reclaim Haven, a mind, body, and spirit sanctuary dedicated to empowering women to reclaim themselves.
