Ms. Soden has held numerous roles over her 30-year career in the entertainment industry, including casting director, writer, actress, and producer. She has experience across all genres, from sitcoms and reality shows to commercials. Early in her career, she worked as an assistant to director Paul Bogart on NBC's "Golden Girls" and later as a post-production supervisor on Fox's "Totally Hidden Video." She became a staff producer at InFinnity Productions, focusing on infomercials, before moving to Wild West Media as a commercial producer. As a casting director, she has cast over 200 commercials, infomercials, and industrial films. Maura also served as a production manager for shows such as Animal Planet’s "That’s My Baby." Recently, she worked as a story producer for TruTV’s "Crisis Point" and is currently a testimonial producer for THANE Direct, an international direct marketing firm. She continues to write feature films and television pilots, many of which have been commissioned or optioned. Her producing talents were recognized in 2002 when her short film, Rush of the Palms (2001), won Best Short at the Festival Internacional de Cinema. Her documentary Forgotten Grave earned Best Film in its category at the Zoie Film Festival and on ifilm.com. She also shared a NIMA award for Best Infomercial Production for Jack Nicklaus' Golden Bear Putter. Ms. Soden has been a professional actress for over 20 years. As a member of SAG, AFTRA, and Actor’s Equity, she has performed on stage in regional and dinner theaters, appeared in numerous television shows, and been featured in many radio spots. She has appeared in over 25 commercials and had regular roles on "Candid Camera," "thirtysomething," "Totally Hidden Video," and "Passions." Her recent credits include "United States of Tara," "Make It or Break It," and "Criminal Minds." She currently stars in a national commercial for Spiriva. Ms. Soden is a longstanding member of Women In Film and The Television Academy. In 2001, she co-founded AdVerb, Inc., a Los Angeles-based production company, and in 2007, she founded Take Flight Films. Her greatest achievement, however, is her daughter, Callahan Rose.
