Bev Killick belongs to the bold and brassy tradition of stand-up comedy, delivering an energetic, nonstop performance every time. From the moment she storms on stage, you know you're in for a memorable experience. Bev is charming, cheeky, and genuine.
Her comedic journey began at age ten during family gatherings, which often ended with Bev putting on a show. Always the class clown and lunchtime entertainer, Bev’s knack for remembering and delivering jokes—many passed down from her dad at the meatworks—led her to perform stand-up in the school quadrangle long before realizing it was her true calling.
Relocating to Melbourne unleashed Bev’s natural comedic talents. She honed her craft through various workshops in clowning and improvisation, refining her stand-up act as she toured comedy circuits in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. She performed at top venues such as The Espy, The Comedy Club, The Comic's Lounge, The Comedy Store, and the Sit Down Comedy Club. Bev loved The Espy so much she married the lighting technician, who gave her special lighting during her sets.
Bev’s talent for keeping audiences laughing nonstop caught the attention of the producers of the global hit Puppetry of the Penis. They invited her to join their show as the opening act, and she eagerly toured Australia, performing to over 250,000 people.
For a time, Bev’s career focused on “boobs” after landing a role in the widely aired Berlei ad for the Uplifting Tour of Australia. This led to her role as a Bosom Buddy in the hit show "Busting Out!", where she entertained audiences worldwide with her bold humor. Bev has appeared in numerous commercials including Yellow Pages, Super of the Future, Herald Sun, Coopers Beer, and Berri Juice. She has also lent her voice to radio ads and characters, notably in the 2011 feature film "Little Johnny: The Movie."
Bev has worked alongside Weird Al Yankovic, Wayne Brady, Gina Riley, and Jane Turner, including a guest cameo on Kath and Kim. She has been a panelist on Beauty and the Beast, featured on Stand Up Australia, a special guest on the hit show Pizza, married her Lighting Guy on Surprise Wedding, triumphed over male competitors on Joker Poker, and performed three solo shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival—her show Sic Women earned her a Green Room Award nomination. She was also selected for the prestigious female-only "Up Front" gala and this year makes her debut on the Melbourne Comedy Festival Road Show.
Bev co-hosts the weekly comedy podcast "Bev and CJ's Stimulus Package" with fellow comedian CJ Fortuna, available on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, and Spotify.
