Baxter Renman is a young Swedish actor from Södermalm, Stockholm, where he continues to reside. He made his first public appearance in the Swedish TV documentary "Född 2010" and is well recognized in Sweden for his role as the comic relief character Håkan in the popular Swedish "Sune" film series. The 2018 film "Sune vs Sune," which prominently featured Baxter's Håkan and his imaginative inner world, was the most-watched Swedish movie that year.
In fall 2018, Baxter was filming two new projects: the highly rated comedy "Finaste Familjen" (aired spring 2019) and the dark TV drama "Tsunami" (aired December 2019). In spring 2019, he worked on the TV production "Ture Sventon & Bermudatriangelns hemlighet" (aired December 2019), portraying the classic villain Ville Vessla as a young boy. The sixth Sune movie, "Sune - Best Man," was filmed in early summer 2019 and released in cinemas in December 2019.
During fall 2019, Baxter filmed the fourth season of the acclaimed Swedish TV drama "Vår tid är nu" (aired December 2020), playing a young boy in 1950s Stockholm who dreams of becoming a detective. He then filmed his third Sune movie, "Sune - Uppdrag: Midsommar," in June and July 2020 (released June 2021). The short film "Hjälmen" was shot in spring 2021, and that summer, Baxter starred as the young inspector Bäckström in season two of the TV series "Bäckström" for C More/TV4 (aired spring 2022).
In autumn and winter 2021/22, Baxter filmed the short film "Såna som oss," directed by John Sundvall, which premiered in October 2022. In May and June 2022, he participated in the film "Ett sista race," directed by Edward af Sillén, featuring memorable soapbox car scenes (released Christmas 2023). In August 2022, he returned to film season three of "Bäckström," and in November 2022, he played the bully Petter in the TV drama "Veronika," directed by Danish director Jonas Arnby. Concurrently, Baxter worked on the upcoming Netflix TV drama "Genombrottet," produced by FLX, portraying a mentally challenged murderer as a child.
In winter and spring 2023, Baxter took on more complex roles, filming "Åremorden" for SF Studios. This dark drama, set in the Swedish mountains, features his troubled teenage character Leo delivering a classic plot twist. Released on Netflix in February 2025, "Åremorden" quickly became one of the platform’s most-streamed series. In May 2025, Baxter began filming the new movie "Arkipelag" in the Stockholm archipelago, written and directed by Alex Schulman. This dark drama explores escalating conflicts among teenagers on a school trip, with Baxter’s character Ted playing a crucial role in driving the story toward a grim conclusion.
