Shaun Mullins is an audio engineer, composer, sound editor, sound designer, ADR mixer, dialogue editor, Foley editor, and re-recording mixer. Since 2000 Shaun has owned Propellerhead Media, an audio post production studio in Buffalo, New York, serving the advertising, television, radio, music, video, and film industries, mixing in stereo, 5.1, 7.1, and now with Dolby Atmos capability. He has provided comprehensive audio postproduction services for numerous national PBS documentaries, films, videos, shorts, and thousands of TV and radio commercials. Most recently he completed the audio post work on the film "Cutman" directed by Michael Mailer. As a composer Shaun has created original music for many productions including commercials and film/documentary soundtracks. As an ADR studio Propellerhead Media has hosted talent for many films and TV episodes (usually uncredited, most not listed here). Propellerhead Media's audio suite is equipped with a 7.1.4 immersive monitoring system for Dolby Atmos mixing, and uses the latest Avid Pro Tools Ultimate software along with a massive collection of collectable vintage analog and digital outboard hardware, instruments, and microphones. Shaun's background goes back to 1978 when he started doing live sound in college, evolving into full time work with national touring acts and sound companies, including a five year stint at The Tralf, a high end night club which hosted world renowned jazz, blues, R&B, reggae, and rock acts. In 1989 Shaun entered the world of film and video production, becoming chief engineer at a large tape-based teleproduction studio in 1995. As computers became capable of non-linear editing he started using Pro Tools in the mid 1990s, and opened Propellerhead Media in 2000.
