Henry S. Schleiff serves as Group President overseeing the Travel Channel, Investigation Discovery (ID), American Heroes Channel, and Destination America networks. He manages development, production, scheduling, research, marketing, communications, and digital initiatives for all five channels. Renowned for revitalizing and strengthening brands, Schleiff leads some of television's fastest-growing networks. Under his guidance, ID rose from the #50 network to a top 10 destination for women and the #1 network in television for audience engagement. Since Schleiff joined in 2009, ID's reach has expanded from 54 million to over 86 million homes.
Destination America launched on Memorial Day 2012 as the sole network dedicated to celebrating the people, places, and stories of the United States. In March 2014, American Heroes Channel (formerly the Military Channel) was introduced to more than 60 million homes as the nation's only channel focused on true stories of American heroism and pivotal historical moments.
Before 2009, Schleiff was President and CEO of Crown Media Holdings, Inc., which owns and operates Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. Joining in October 2006, he led Hallmark Channel to become one of the industry's top-performing cable networks. From 1998 to 2006, Schleiff served as Chairman and CEO of Court TV Network, which experienced rapid growth in distribution, ratings, and revenue under his leadership. Prior to Court TV, he held executive roles at Studios USA, Viacom International Inc., and HBO. Schleiff also serves on the boards of several industry organizations, including the International Radio & Television Society Foundation, The Creative Coalition, The Hamptons International Film Festival, The American Museum of the Moving Image, and the Dean's Council of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
