Ryan Sage is an award-winning writer, producer, and director who divides his time between network promos and micro-budget filmmaking.
For Super Bowl 52, Ryan contributed to two high-profile projects. He directed The Voice's "Super Commercial," which was recognized by Yahoo Sports, The Chicago Tribune, and Rolling Stone as one of the year's best Super Bowl ads. Additionally, he spent three weeks collaborating closely with Spike Lee as his personal editor on a Network Brand spot honoring Prince that aired during the pre-game.
Ryan's most recent feature, 'Temps,' explores modern love and commitment through the perspective of temp workers and became one of 2016's biggest indie film successes. Despite its minimal budget, the 'Temps' trailer resonated widely, going viral with over 60 million views and becoming the most-watched romantic comedy trailer on YouTube. This popularity translated into strong sales, with 'Temps' reaching #1 on the iTunes bestseller list in April 2016 and reappearing in the top 5 Indie category in July.
His debut feature, 'A Big Love Story,' a romantic comedy about a man trying to lose weight to find love, won seven festival awards, including Breakout Filmmaker of the Year at Newport Beach Film Festival, Audience Choice - Best Feature at Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Best Comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival. Variety described it as "unpretentiously well turned," while The Hollywood Reporter praised it for "bringing fresh life to the overworked romantic comedy genre." Criterioncast called it "an absolute revelation."
