Biografia
André Hallak is a creative producer and founder of Casa.Film (Casa na Árvore). He has 16 years' experience in producing audiovisual projects for cinema, TV, VOD and other windows. On two occasions, he was one of four Brazilian producers selected for Meet Them at the San Sebastian Film Festival's Industry Club. He was also one of 9 Brazilian producers selected for the EAVE Producers Workshop On Demand in São Paulo. He is active in international markets and in the internationalization of projects, including co-productions with Argentina, Germany, France, Chile, Spain, Uruguay and Canada. He has coordinated project development groups with screenwriters, directors and producers that have resulted in several productions.
He has been actively involved in the production of feature films, series, short films and spatial projects (exhibitions, videomapping, festivals, among others). He has carried out projects with channels such as Futura, Curta! and Brasil, showing them in cinemas and on platforms such as Globoplay, NOW and Claro.His films have also been shown at important festivals such as Rotterdam (Holland), Rio, São Paulo and Brasilia Film Festivals (Brazil), Hot Docs (Canada), among many others.
One of his feature films with a commercial release is "Lavra" by director Lucas Bambozzi, which premiered at IDFA (Holland) and was shown at Hot Docs (Canada), as well as other international festivals. In Brazil, it premiered at the Brasilia Film Festival (with an award for best cinematography and an honorable mention for sound), and was shown at festivals such as the Tiradentes Film Festival and Mostra Ecofalante (audience award). It premiered in cinemas and on VOD platforms in 2022 and on Canal Brasil in 2023.
