Geoff Stirling Jr., also known as Geoffrey Shyam Stirling, is the son of Geoffrey Scott Stirling, who has British and Scottish roots, and Judith Olivia Young, who is of Italian and Ukrainian heritage.
Commonly called Geoff by his peers, with the name pronounced as Jeff, he was born in San Diego, California. His middle name, Shyam (pronounced SHALM), is derived from Sanskrit, meaning pure space. This name was chosen by his father, Scott Stirling, inspired by a dedicated meditation teacher from India's guru tradition.
Scott Stirling, Geoff Stirling Jr.'s father, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Newfoundland Broadcasting Company, which was co-founded by Geoff's grandfather, Geoffrey William Stirling.
Geoff has an older brother, Jesse, who hosts "Meetings with Remarkable People," an interview-style show on Newfoundland Television (ntv.ca). Jesse is married to Amanda Stirling, who holds the position of Senior Vice President of Global Publicity at Universal Pictures.
His younger sister, Lydia McLaughlin, appeared on Bravo's "Real Housewives of Orange County" for two seasons, with their mother, Judy Stirling, playing memorable roles in the show's storyline. Lydia's husband, Doug McLaughlin, is the founder and chief editor of Nobleman, a men's luxury magazine (noblemagazine.com).
During his youth, Geoff Stirling Jr. was passionate about sports and skateboarding and was discovered by a modeling agency in La Jolla, California, at the age of sixteen. He pursued a successful modeling career before transitioning into acting.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Communication Studies from the University of San Diego. Throughout his career, he has worked as an international male model, actor, stuntman, personal trainer, karate instructor for expert village, sailing and windsurfing instructor, salesman, baker, and television producer.
Currently, Geoff Stirling Jr. leads Shyam Bird Productions LLC, a production company based in Southern California.
