Jordan Roth is an American actor, artist, creative director, and seven-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer whose work spans theater, television, performance art, and fashion.
Roth co-stars in the FX television series The Shards (2026), created by Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis, portraying the recurring role of Steven Reinhardt.
In 2025, Roth debuted Radical Acts of Unrelenting Beauty at the Louvre in Paris during Haute Couture Week, marking his emergence as a performance artist. The work, presented in the Cour Marly before an audience that included Thom Browne and Zac Posen, established his practice of Narrative Fashion Performance: a multidisciplinary form exploring transformation, identity, and the relationship between fashion and the body. In 2026, Performance Space New York invited Roth to expand that practice at the Venice Biennale, where he staged a new site-specific work at the Palazzo dei Fiori inspired by Renaissance painter Irene di Spilimbergo.
As an accomplished Broadway producer, Roth has earned seven Tony Awards. During his tenure as president of Jujamcyn Theaters from 2009 to 2023, he oversaw productions including The Book of Mormon, Hadestown, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Springsteen on Broadway, Company, Into the Woods, and the revival of Angels in America, which broke records as the most Tony-nominated play in Broadway history. His upcoming production of Galileo, opens December 6, 2026, at Broadway's Shubert Theatre. Following Jujamcyn's 2023 merger with Ambassador Theatre Group, Roth became creative director of ATG Entertainment.
Beyond theater, Roth has become a prominent figure in fashion and contemporary culture. Roth has attended the Met Gala for eight consecutive years, appeared at Paris Haute Couture Week and New York Fashion Week, and been photographed by David LaChapelle, Steven Klein, and Paolo Roversi for Vogue Portugal, L'Officiel, Paper, and Purple. Through social media, he shares artistic projects, cultural commentary, and explorations of fashion as a form of storytelling and self-expression with more than two million followers across social media.
Roth graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University with degrees in philosophy and theater, and received his MBA from Columbia Business School. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Broadway League, Freedom to Marry, Times Square Alliance, Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation and the Center for Youth Mental Health.
