Dan Moran launched his acting career with a three-year tenure in the New Shakespeare Company of San Francisco, a touring ensemble that covered approximately 60,000 miles annually by car across the U.S. In 1977, Moran relocated to New York to study at NYU School of the Arts, graduating in 1980. As a founding member of the New York Stage & Film theater company, he also spent several seasons with Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, MA, performing lead roles in As You Like It, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Macbeth. His theater repertoire further includes A Streetcar Named Desire, A Month in the Country, Edward II, Pericles, and Happy Days. Moran is slated to appear next on Broadway in Arthur Miller's The Man Who Had All the Luck. His film credits span a diverse range of titles such as Happiness, Hamlet, Maximum Risk, Better Living, and Mob Queen, along with five Woody Allen movies including Mighty Aphrodite, Sweet and Lowdown, Curse of the Jade Scorpion, and Deconstructing Harry. On television, he has appeared in series like Law & Order, Third Watch, Homicide, One Life to Live, and Loving.
