Biografia
Evan Spiridellis co-founded JibJab Media Inc. with his brother Gregg in 1999, aiming to create and share original entertainment globally through the Internet. Since then, Evan has established himself as a trailblazer in digital filmmaking, continually exploring new technologies to produce innovative and inspiring content for JibJab and its clients.
In 2004, Evan's pioneering mixed media approach sparked an international phenomenon with JibJab's election parody, "This Land." The two-minute video and its sequel, "Good To Be In DC!," were viewed over eighty million times worldwide, including on every continent such as Antarctica. NASA even reached out to the brothers to request permission to send the animation to the International Space Station.
Beyond his online success, Evan’s work has earned critical praise at prestigious festivals like Sundance Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, SXSW, and others. His projects have also received awards from the Ottawa International Film Festival, Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, and D&AD.
Evan has appeared on shows including the "Today Show," "The Tonight Show," "CBS Early Morning," "NBC Nightly News," CNN, FOX News, CNBC, and MSNBC. He has been featured in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and Time. In December 2004, the late Peter Jennings honored Evan and his brother as "People of the Year."
Before founding JibJab, Evan was a successful independent animator based in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated with high honors from Parsons School of Design in 1996, earning a BFA in Illustration.
