Biografia
Claudia Cristina Rocafort is a multicultural actress, dancer, spokesperson, certified Life Coach, and Communications Consultant.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Claudia inherited her passion for film from her father, Juan Antonio Rocafort, a film producer in Spain, and her love for theater from her mother Aura Siso and grandmother—both New York natives and enthusiastic theater aficionados. Her paternal heritage is Spanish, while her maternal lineage includes New York, Venezuelan, Colombian, English, and Scottish roots.
Claudia’s affection for performing began with her first ballet recital at the age of five. She attended an American school in Venezuela, becoming bilingual. Later, she moved to the United States to study at The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT, where she advanced her dance training, performed in musicals, and took choreography classes. In 1987, she received the Genevra Minor Darling Dance Cup and continued dancing throughout college.
She earned a BA with a double major in Drama and Art History from Tufts University in Boston. Claudia furthered her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York City, where she made her acting debut Off-Broadway in the Working Theater’s production of "Heroes and Saints" (1994), written by Cherrie Moraga and directed by Albert Takazauckas. She continued appearing in Off-Broadway plays and debuted on television in 1995 with the recurring role of Delia on One Life to Live. Her TV credits include Spin City, As the World Turns, Now and Again, Burn Notice, The Glades, Los Secretos de Lucia, and most recently, the recurring guest role of Poppy in Life Sentence (2018).
Claudia’s film debut came in 1998 as the femme fatale lead Sasha Rollins in the independent film The Definite Maybe (also known as No Money Down), starring alongside Bob Balaban and Josh Lucas. After maternity leave, she returned to the screen in Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009) and Step Up Revolution (2012).
With an international background and appearance, Claudia has featured in numerous national and global commercials in English, Spanish, French, and Italian. She is particularly known for her roles in Kellogg's Smart Start commercials in the US and Boddingtons Pub Ale ads in the UK. Her campaign work includes AT&T, Budweiser, Canon, Cadillac, Clairol, Digitel, IBM, McDonald's, MSNBC, Panasonic, PesoForma, Snapple, The ESPY Awards, V8, Verizon, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
Recognized for her deep, sultry voice, Claudia has also lent her talents to voice-over work for radio commercials, infomercials, industrials, public service announcements, and film dubbing.
