Biografia
Reinhold Bilgeri was born on March 26, 1950, in Hohenems, Austria. He graduated from the University of Innsbruck in 1976, majoring in Geography, Philosophy, and Psychology, and worked as a high school teacher for five years. Since 1989, he has been married to actress Beatrix Bilgeri, and their daughter Laura was born in 1995.
In 1980, Bilgeri began his professional career in show business as a rock singer, songwriter, novelist, screenplay writer, producer, and film director. Throughout the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, he achieved 25 top hits in Austria, South America, and several European countries, earning multiple gold and platinum awards. He also produced and wrote TV shows as promotional tools for his records.
Bilgeri authored radio plays and short stories, and in 2005, published his bestselling novel "A Breath of Heaven" (Der Atem des Himmels). In 2010, he directed a successful film adaptation of his novel, which won the Golden Rooster Award for Best Foreign Movie in China in 2012. Since then, he has produced and directed feature films such as "Alles Fleisch ist Gras," "The Silent Mountain," and several music videos.
