Stevie Ryan, an actress and writer, grew up in the small town of Victorville, California. At 19, she moved to Los Angeles to chase her dreams in the entertainment world. Driven by determination and a strong work ethic, she quickly took initiative—arranging photo shoots for headshots, searching online for casting calls, and auditioning independently. Landing an audition for Hilary Duff’s music video "So Yesterday" confirmed her passion. Between 2006 and 2007, Stevie booked various commercials while focusing more on writing, filming, editing, and acting in her own online videos. These videos gained significant popularity, and as her characters developed a cult following, industry professionals from New York to Los Angeles began to pay attention.
In 2010, New Wave Entertainment (NWE) reached out after seeing one of Stevie’s online parodies of their show. Impressed by her talent and portfolio, NWE envisioned creating a TV series to complement her online presence. Together, they developed "Stevie TV," a sketch comedy show parodying popular culture figures and trends, starring Stevie herself. Network interest followed quickly, and "Stevie TV" found a home at VH1.
Outside of work on "Stevie TV" and other projects, Stevie described herself as a homebody. She enjoyed spending time with her two dogs, crafting, making videos, drinking tea, and watching a variety of TV shows. After sharing that her grandfather passed away on June 29, 2017, Stevie tragically died by suicide through hanging on July 1, 2017, at the age of 33.
