Biografia
JS Gilbert has provided voices for more than 400 pinball machines, slot machines, video games, toys, and interactive products. A skilled mimic, he not only voiced Mario in Mario's Time Machine but also portrayed 35 different historical figures. He is widely recognized as the voice of Sweet Tooth from the Twisted Metal gaming franchise, as well as the voices of Mundo, Sion, Gragas, Cho'Gath, and Udyr in League of Legends. For over 12 years on Lord of the Rings Online, he has voiced characters such as Smaug, Glaurung, Gandalf, and many others including orcs and dwarves. As one of the earliest English-speaking voice talents in gaming, including arcade titles, his work includes Dark Wizard, Battle Arena Toshinden, NHL Hockey Night, and Darth Vader in Star Wars Chess. His voice featured prominently in many early gaming audio libraries, though incomplete tracking of voice credits from that era has left gaps in his IMDb profile. Notable projects also include Peter Norton's PC Guru and Mother Goose's Farm, where he handled casting, directing, audio production, and voiceover.
JS has served as a replacement voice for hundreds of cartoon and animated characters. He is an authorized voice for characters such as Papa Smurf, Hermey (from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer), Groot, Baby Groot, and many others.
When not engaged in voiceover work, JS appears at popular conventions and festivals, frequently participating in panels where he shares insights from his four-decade career in voice acting.
He resides in the Bay Area with his wife and dog, expressing gratitude to all who have supported him personally and professionally, and looks forward to connecting with fans and colleagues at future events.
