Madden joined AMC Networks in late 2017 after nearly 20 years at Fox, where he last served as President of Entertainment for the Fox Broadcasting Company. In that role, he managed all programming and development, including series like "Empire," "911," "Brooklyn 99," "Masterchef Junior," and "Grease Live." Previously, he was President of Fox Television Studios, which developed and produced shows for various U.S. and international broadcast and cable networks. During his tenure, FTVS produced series such as "The Shield" and "The Americans" for FX, "The Killing" for AMC and Netflix, "White Collar," "Graceland," and "Burn Notice" for USA, among others.
At AMC Networks, Madden has recently supervised a fresh lineup for AMC, including "Dispatches from Elsewhere," created by Jason Segel and Scott Rudin, the supernatural series "NOS4A2," season two of the anthology series "The Terror," and the critically acclaimed drama "Lodge 49." AMC's current slate features "The Walking Dead," "Fear The Walking Dead," "Better Call Saul," and "Preacher." The network has also approved its first episodic anthology series exploring the intersection of love and science, from Will Bridges ("Black Mirror") and Brett Goldstein.
On the unscripted front, AMC offers original series like "Talking Dead," "Talking With Chris Hardwick," "Ride with Norman Reedus," and the ongoing documentary series "AMC Visionaries," which delves into topics and subcultures such as comics, horror, rap, and science fiction, led by creators like Robert Kirkman, Eli Roth, Questlove, and James Cameron.
At BBC America, Madden oversees programming including the critically acclaimed "Killing Eve," the widely popular "Doctor Who," Emmy® and IDA-winning "Planet Earth II" and its follow-up "Dynasties," Emmy®-winning "Blue Planet II," the drama "Luther," the innovative unscripted series "Top Gear," the popular "The Graham Norton Show," and the world's largest darts championships. Upcoming is the punk rock thriller "The Watch," based on Sir Terry Pratchett's renowned "Discworld" novels.

A key aspect of Madden's role at AMC Networks is overseeing programming for AMC Studios, the company's expanding studio division that produces content for AMC's networks and platforms. AMC Studios is behind "The Walking Dead," cable's highest-rated series, as well as originals like "Fear the Walking Dead," "The Terror," "Into the Badlands," and "Lodge 49." The studio also produced the Peabody Award-winning "Rectify," "Hap and Leonard," and unscripted series like "Cold Blooded: The Clutter Family Murders" and "The Jonestown Massacre" for SundanceTV.
