Rodney Saulsberry, born in Detroit, Michigan, is an actor, singer, author, and voice-over artist. He has been the voice behind numerous commercial campaigns for brands such as Twix Candy Bars, Domino's Pizza, Zatarain's Cajun Foods, Nature's Own Honey Wheat, Toyota, and Hyundai Tucson.
Recently, he appeared as a lead actor in national television commercials for McDonald's, Cheez-Its, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Rodney has earned two NAACP Image Award nominations for "Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series" for his role as "Anthony" on "The Bold and the Beautiful."
As an author, Saulsberry has published three well-known books on voice-over work: "Rodney Saulsberry's Tongue Twisters and Vocal Warm-Ups," "You Can Bank on Your Voice," and "Step Up to the Mic."
More recently, his guest star roles include appearances on the FX crime drama "Snowfall," "All American: Homecoming," and the upcoming "Spider-Noir" starring Nicolas Cage.
As a recording artist, Rodney has released three albums. His debut album, "Rodney Saulsberry," was produced by renowned jazz bassist Stanley Clarke. His second album, "Better Than Before," and his third, "Christmas With Rodney Saulsberry," continue to be enjoyed by fans worldwide. He also contributed vocals to the memorable song "Hakuna Matata" on the Lion King movie soundtrack.
Now residing in Southern California, Saulsberry first arrived on the West Coast with a national touring production of "Your Arms Too Short To Box With God" following a successful Broadway run. The musical was a hit in Los Angeles and launched his distinguished television career, which includes guest roles on "Taxi" (1978), "M*A*S*H" (1972), "Gimme a Break!" (1981), "227" (1985), "The A-Team" (1986), and "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" (1993). He also held a series regular role on the soap opera "Capitol" and a recurring role on "The Young and the Restless" (1973).
