Jennice Fuentes is a multilingual polymath with a notable career spanning the arts, politics in Washington, D.C., and the nonprofit sector. She is a knowledgeable cultural and political commentator and frequently appears on various local and national news and discussion television programs. As an actress, she was excited to secure a recurring role in HBO's critically acclaimed series K Street (2003) while simultaneously working as a Chief of Staff in Congress. After leaving Capitol Hill, she founded both a boutique government relations firm and a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting civic education and engagement.
As a film critic, she regularly appeared as a guest and guest host on National Public Radio/WAMU's live two-hour program, "The Kojo Nmandi Show," and on "9 News Tonight," the local news show on WUSA 9, the CBS affiliate. She also contributed to "Around Town," a program broadcast on WETA/Channel 26, the leading public broadcasting station in Washington, D.C. From 2006 to 2007, Fuentes hosted "Actualidades," a Hispanic Communications Network radio show featuring segments that highlight outstanding Hispanic cultural offerings.
Her movie reviews, celebrity interviews, and entertainment articles have been published in several Spanish-language magazines, including People en Español, Cristina La Revista, Caras Magazine, and Vista Magazine.
Originally from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, she is a native Spanish speaker fluent in English, French, and Italian, and conversational in Russian and German.
She earned a B.A. from Clark University and an M.A. from New York University, and has also studied abroad at the École Européenne des Affaires in Paris, France.
